Virtual Special Issue

We invite IWBDA attendees to submit their manuscripts to ACS Synthetic Biology for inclusion in the “IWBDA 2026” Virtual Special Issue.

Submission deadline: November 30, 2026

This issue is being set up, in the meantime please make sure to add your intention to submit to the special issue in the cover letter.

Submissions are welcome in any article type, including Articles, Technical Notes, and Viewpoints.

Please consider the following when preparing and submitting your manuscript:

  • All manuscripts must adhere to the ACS Synthetic Biology author guidelines.
  • Manuscripts must be submitted through the ACS Publishing Center.
  • During submission, choose “IWBDA 2026” from the special-issue selection menu and state in your cover letter that the manuscript is intended for the IWBDA 2026 Virtual Special Issue.
  • All submissions are subject to peer review. Publication or inclusion in the final special issue cannot be guaranteed before review.
  • Authors interested in publishing open access can review the ACS open-access options and pricing.
